Milwaukee General Mitchell International Airport (MKE)
Car Parking
(Milwaukee, Wisconsin - WI, USA)
General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) has a great choice of car parking options including: a garage situated right near the terminal, with short-stay and long-stay spaces; nearby short-stay surface parking; long-stay remote parking lots; and another parking lot at the Amtrak station.
The first 30 minutes of parking in any of the airport's car parks is free of charge.
Pay on your return to the airport upon exit from the car parks, by either cash or credit card; all major credit cards are accepted in all lots including the garage.
Short-Stay Surface
The short-term parking lot is located near the garage parking structure, within walking distance of the terminal entrance, making it ideal for picking-up and dropping-off passengers. There is also the so-called Cellular Parking Lot within the short-term car park, which offers 15 very convenient designated parking spaces.
Short-Stay/Long-Stay Garage
The multi-story car park is connected to the terminal by walkways and is General Mitchell International Airport's premier parking facility. Spread over many levels, there are hourly and daily sections to the car park, with hourly parking on the third and fourth floors, marked as red areas; these spaces are available for stays of five hours or less. Daily parking is available on all floors. Drop-offs and pickups are also possible from this convenient car park, as the first 30 minutes of parking is free. Vehicles over seven-foot high will have to park in the surface or remote parking lots.
Long-Stay
There are two remote lots within a free-bus ride of the airport and they offer the cheapest option for long-stays. Lot A is the main remote lot, while Lot B is for peak overflow holiday periods; both are linked to the airport every 10 or 15 minutes by a free shuttle bus service.
Amtrak
The Amtrak station is located near to the remote parking lots and offers parking for those who cannot get in anywhere else. There is a shuttle bus from the Amtrak parking lot to the airport terminal.
Disabled
Disabled drivers have dedicated parking spaces in all car parks, with the best spots for added convenience in getting to the terminal. There are white courtesy telephones in the car parks for those who want to call for assistance and spaces in the remote lots are located near to the shuttle pickup points. Most shuttles have wheelchair lifts.
